George Dweh’s Role….(Letter
by Menker Casey)
Dear Editor,
13 May 04
I am very impressed
having read your editorial
(Gone Without The Probe, Facing Jungle
Justice)
about Saleeby's resignation from the National Bank of Liberia. But what
really angered me most is the question of George Dweh’s role. Who is he
to stop anybody from leaving Liberia, and why government has not issued
any statement about the Governor’s resignation? I didn't see any reason
why Liberians have to kill one another when the killers are no different
from the previous ones. It was unnecessary for us as a country to spend
so much money to write laws to governor us when we have already people
who are laws unto themselves in Liberia. What a country with so much
talented people have failed to govern themselves. The political and
social problems in Liberia will not be solved unless justice is done.
